Welcome to Grove Hill Cemetery's Website
The Shelbyville Cemetery Company was chartered in 1854 and has operated Grove Hill Cemetery since that date. Located on the southern edge of Shelbyville, overlooking Clear Creek, Grove Hill contains the graves of some 18,000 people. The grounds were laid out using a park like design which is still maintained today. The cemetery is operated by a Board of Trustees elected by lot owners. Regulations govern the decoration of individual graves.
Grove Hill Tree Memorial Fund
Grove Hill Cemetery takes great pride in maintaining its grounds and provides a means by which lot owners can participate in preserving its beauty. A contribution to the Tree Memorial Fund insures that Grove Hill will maintain its beauty, while at the same time, providing a lasting memorial to those interred here.
